With over 25 years of experience in saddle fitting and saddle manufacturing, I wanted to make sure that visiting this site was just as an unique experience as it is to visit our showroom and workshop, particularly for our interstate and overseas customers.

Peter Horobin Saddlery has been a collaborative creation my wife Julie and now with our children Rhys& Marlee working in the business too.
Something that I think is important is that Julie, myself and our staff over the years have listened to our customers and kept learning and researching and have really continued to develop our products over the last 20 years. It is a pleasure to create a hand-crafted product in a disposable and commodity driven market place and I am happy that our clients are happy because of the quality of our products and our service.

Another exciting achievement was in 1997 when I was the first saddler in
Then, in 2000 I won the contract for the Australian pentathlon team for the Olympics. I made 15 saddles for this event and it was because of the experience in equine back health, and the custom fit of the saddle that won me this opportunity.
We were the first company to book a trade stand at the very first Equitana and I have been invited to give lectures in more than 10 countries, throughout Europe and
I was then a part of the Rolex World Cup in Vegas in 2007 where I was the assistant official saddler to my Canadian Partner Jochen Schleese for the games.

I have completed extensive hours of research, all hands on with some of the most prestigious names in the equine community. From learning from a well known vet from his dissection of a horse to see the damage of what an ill-fitting saddle can cause, to watching and working with top national and international riders Brett Parbery and German Gold Medalist Heike Kemmer and other professionals. This first hand information has been incredible and has allowed me to develop new innovations and saddlefit 4 life based on what is best for both horse and rider.
