Peter Horobin started making ostrich skin saddles over 5 years ago when ostrich farming in Australia was a major income and option for farmers.
After selling over 20 of these beautiful saddles in just one year, unfortuantely with the sudden drop in Ostrich Farming here in Australia this beautiful exotic option of having one of these exclusive saddles was no longer available.
Whilst Peter Horobin Saddlery is becoming more exclusive by selling ultimate quality and unbeatable service that you are guarenteed to find no-where else in this industry, we wanted to offer our customers something different, something specialSo yet again, as we are now proud to be able to import hides and skins from the same tannery in South Africa that sells to names such as Hermes and Louis Vuitton we have relaunched the Exotic Ostrich Skin saddle along with a collection of handbags and accessories to match.

First grade skins are used, whilst all fittings for the leather range are of the highest quality. Genuine sheepskin lining imported from on of the top tanneries in Santa Croce, Northern Italy, hand crafted solid brass and plated gold imported from one of the best metal fitting makers in the world, based in Florence, Italy.
(who also make metal accessories for such famous breands as GUCCI) and all of the silk lining pockets are of the best imported from Germany.
Only the highest quality synthetic fibre boards (NOT CARDBOARD) are used to provide support and suppleness on the inside of the bags, YKK zippers are used which are known as the best nylon zippers in the world.
